Since our formation in 1982, we have become a leading IT and PoS Service and Warranty provider, with one of the largest printer spare stock holdings in Europe

With a 55 strong team and a dedicated service centre, we aim to provide a market leading service to our international partners and customers. With some business relationships dating back three decades, we like to think that we are achieving this aim.
As a family run business we care deeply about providing a quality service and have recently invested in new purpose designed premises. Our commitment stretches well beyond bricks and mortar; since 1993 we have maintained the ISO 9001 quality standard.
We hold over 63,000 parts from over 2,000 lines of point of sales, barcode, projector and large format products. Combined with same day despatch and an international distribution network covering 98 countries, you can see why we think we have a convincing offer!
With our new additional EU warehousing, we can continue to deliver an excellent service, with a faster delivery times and a reduced carbon footprint.

Having been in the business for 35 years we understand the value of technical know-how. That is why our rigorous training programme ensures that everyone from senior management to to our latest recruits work hard to build and maintain their expertise and product knowledge.
With clients and end users pushing for ever more streamlined support solutions, we understand the need for watertight project management. That is why we have developed bespoke logistics software that allows us to track our customers’ units. It is this operational backbone that allows us to despatch over 3,000 units a month.

Kim Burgon
Kim has been with the company since 2004, in that time working across many of the key core areas of the business including repair, despatch, sales and customer services departments. As Operations Director Kim works closely with her team to ensure all aspects of the business operate smoothly.
Key Business Responsibilities:
- Managing the introduction of new products and services into the business
- Overseeing improvement projects
- Liaising and working alongside our partners to ensure that we maximize performance in terms of service delivery to their customers
- Overseeing management of stock control & service delivery
Kim was instrumental in working alongside an external developer to create a bespoke software system that underpins the firm’s excellent logistics systems.
Kim holds a Masters in Occupational Psychology from the University of Surrey.
Outside of work? Kim has a strong passion for fitness & sport, she recently completed a Trans America tour on a bicycle!
Mike Burgon
Mike has overseen the firm’s evolution and growth into one of the UK’s principal dedicated POS service and warranty businesses. During this time he was responsible for successfully establishing Unicomp’s technical service & repair centre.
Key Business Responsibilities:
- Board director & the firm’s non-executive chairman
- Working as a mentor to the board and management team regarding the firm’s strategic direction
Mike possesses a range of engineering experience drawn from a career which before founding Unicomp had him working for internationally recognised companies including; Marconi, Plessey, AWA Australia and Motorola.
Outside of work? Mike particularly enjoys travelling the world, and nothing more than doing so in his own boat!
Tina Burgon
Tina’s career with Unicomp began in 1990. Since then she has established a reputation for herself as a well-respected figure within the POS warranty service & distribution industry.
Her dedication coupled with her extensive market knowledge has enabled her to work closely alongside some of the industries key figure heads, and in the process provide an instrumental contribution in developing and maintaining Unicomp’s business relationships and corporate reputation.
Key Business Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the strategic growth of the company with a particular focus on developing new business and supporting key accounts and partners
- Heading up Unicomp’s board of directors
Tina’s particular passion is working with customers, partners and the Unicomp’s management team to ensure all aspects of the business continues to evolve to become IT manufacturers No 1 choice and that Unicomp continues to maintain an efficient level of service to their customers & manufacturers which they already represent.
Having studied Economics at Southampton University, Tina completed an MBA at the Open University in 2003.
Outside of work? Tina is busy with her young family and enjoys travelling and participating in netball tournaments.
Angela Clark
Leading a focused and dynamic team, Angela is Unicomp’s Sales Support Manager, responsible for making sure that customer needs and expectations are fully satisfied.
Angela has held her position since 2013, in that time she has built a team that prides itself on doing its best for Unicomp’s customers while ensuring the company’s professional, business relationships are maintained and strengthened.
Key Business Responsibilities:
- Angela heads up a customer focused, and sales driven team, comprising of Sales; Sales Support; Customer Services, and Marketing.
- Angela is responsible for accurate revenue forecasting and measurement, as well managing all aspects of customer interaction. She ensures that her team continually delivers the highest levels of customer service, and provides a conduit for strategy implementation from the Board to the various teams under her remit.
Angela studied First Line Management with the Institute of Leadership and Management outside of work. Angela is the extremely proud owner of her pet dog Molly, who conveniently shares Angela’s’ fondness for country walks!
Darren Greenway
Darren heads up Unicomp’s Information Technology and Management Information Systems.
Darren & Unicomp have developed a very sophisticated and efficient management information system, which enables the company to maximise efficiency and customer service. Our SMART system enables efficient management and tracking of customer orders and information.
Key Business Responsibilities:
- Supporting Unicomp’s systems & central management databases
- Providing real time access information to Unicomp’s customers
- Frequent input with regards to Unicomp’s overall development
- Supporting Unicomp’s purchasing departments
Has worked closely with our customers and suppliers to provide integration between systems, this enables smoother operations and better data integrity.
Outside of work? Darren enjoys a trip to the cinema, if he hasn’t gone to catch a movie he can be found recording strikes in the bowling alley!
Kris Harris
Kris has been with Unicomp since 2008, gaining first-hand experience and knowledge in a wealth of Unicomp’s core business areas.
Having worked previously as a repair technician & also within the customer services & accounts departments, Kris spent several years as the Purchasing and Stock control manager, acquiring a thorough understanding of the products and industry. The next step forward in Kris career at Unicomp has been to utilize this knowledge and cultivated relationships in his role as New Business executive. This sees him working with existing customers and partners to find new opportunities and maximise revenue, and, to identify and pursue new customers. Kris aims to diversify to Unicomps offering by seeking out new markets where Unicomp can add value.

Outside of work? Kris takes a keen interest in the Sciences, including the science of Real Ale!
Laura Wood
Laura reports to our Operations Director & has overall responsibility for operations including Logistics, Quality Control and New Project Implementation.
Unicomp prides itself on having robust quality control & compliance procedures, Laura is crucial to ensuring that quality is maintained and Unicomp’s customers receive the optimum service expected.
Key Business Responsibilities:
- Ensure smooth running of key business procedures
- Management of quality control and compliance, particularly ISO 9001
- Management of customer compliance
Laura has been working at the company since 2007 and has spent time in several departments. Before Unicomp, Laura worked as a Vendor Account Manager in the food packaging & print industry.
Outside of work? Laura can be found on a netball court!
David Gates
David manages the company’s day-to-day finance function. The finance team focuses on both monitoring the company’s financial position and strengthening operational efficiencies.
Unicomp’s robust financial management systems are fully integrated with sales, operations and logistics. This thereby enables the company to maximise both efficiency and performance in its commitment to deliver outstanding customer service.
Together with the Head of Financial Compliance, David covers all areas of finance including the production of monthly management accounts and annual financial statements, payroll, company secretarial and treasury functions.
Key Business Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the company Directors on strategic matters with a particular focus on cash flow, longer term budgeting and short-term forecasting.
- Managing the credit control and purchasing functions.
- Management of the treasury of the company including cash management and currency exchange.
David has over 35 years of experience in finance and accounting. David is a family man and any spare time is spent travelling around the country to support his beloved Plymouth Argyle FC.
